A leading global commercial property and real estate consultancy are looking for a qualified Management Surveyor to join the Corporate Real Estate Management Team in Birmingham City Centre. The successful Management Surveyor will provide mainly existing corporate occupier clients with full property management services. This position is perfect with around 3+ years post qualification experience.

Role specification:
  • To ensure cost effective operational running of allocated sites
  • Liaison with clients and 3rd parties i.e. landlords and their agents to ensure uninterrupted use of the client’s premises, effectively acting as the intermediary between landlord and tenant
  • Identify and drive through cost savings for corporate occupiers
  • For sublet properties, monitor income collection and tenant liaison
  • Manage exit strategies for freehold and leasehold properties being vacated
  • Ensure adherence to lease terms and compliance with statutory requirements and advising clients of same
  • Direct and frequent client contact and reporting
Person specification:
  • Up to date knowledge of legislation regarding property management
  • Demonstrable technical competence in property management
  • Basic IT skills (word-processing and spreadsheets)
  • Likely to possess 3 years + post-qualification experience
  • Previously worked in property management team
  • General practice background for or within either a corporate, public sector or private practice
  • Degree level estate management qualification or equivalent desired
  • Membership of RICS
